Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup Franks RedHot sauce
  • 0.25 cup Valentina hot sauce
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp white distilled vinegar
  • 2 tbsp canola oil
  • 0.5 cup wedge salad dressing
  • 1 bunch celery sticks

Method

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine Frank's, Valentina, and butter.
  2. Cook until butter is melted and sauce is well-combined, then add vinegar.
  3. Preheat grill to medium heat or build a medium-hot charcoal fire.
  4. Season wings in a large bowl with salt, pepper, and oil.
  5. Place wings skin-side down on hot grates and close the lid.
  6. Grill for 8 to 10 minutes until golden brown with char spots.
  7. Flip wings and cook another 8 to 10 minutes until crispy and cooked through.
  8. Transfer cooked wings to a clean bowl.
  9. Toss with half of the prepared buffalo sauce until glazed.
  10. Serve with extra sauce, dressing, and celery sticks.

Notes

Pat the chicken wings completely dry before oiling to ensure maximum crispiness on the grill.
Do not force the wings to flip if they stick; give them another minute to release naturally from the grates.
