Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and grease an 8x4-inch loaf pan.
  2. Whisk together sugar and melted butter in a large bowl until smooth.
  3. Beat in eggs until fully combined.
  4. Stir in Irish cream liqueur and vanilla.
  5. Fold in flour, baking powder, and salt just until combined.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips and spread batter evenly into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 40 to 45 minutes.
  8. Cool loaf in the pan for 15 minutes.
  9. Remove from the pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
  10. Combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, Irish cream liqueur, and salt in a bowl.
  11. Beat with an electric mixer on low speed until smooth.
  12. Add milk as needed to make a spreading consistency.
  13. Spread frosting over the cooled loaf, then slice and serve.
